Text of marriage notice of Freda May Meredith and Keith Harper, County Express

The wedding was solemnised n Saturday, at St Thomas’s Church, Sturbridge, of Harold Keith (sergeant air gunner, R.A.F.) only son of Mr and Mrs W H Harper 27 Brook Street, Stourbridge and Freda May, younger daughter of Mrs and the late Mr E. Meredith, 6, Cecil St, Stourbridge.
The bride who was given in marriage by her brother (Mr E. Meredith, of Coventry) was attired in a full length dress of satin santas, with embroidered veil, held in place by a Juliet cap of pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses, and was attended by one bridesmaid, Miss Brenda Winwood (cousin of the bridge groom), who wore a mauve Taffeta dress, with veil to match, aand carried a bouquet f pink and mauve sweet peas. The best man was Sergeant L. A. Sandford, R. A. F., of Manchester (friend of the bridegroom).
The choral service was conducted by Canon M. S. Newland R. D., and the organist (Mr B. Allchurch) played appropriate pieces. The bride was handed six horseshoes and a silver key by friends and relations. The reception was held at the Conservative Hall.
