Just googled my maiden name and found an interesting coincidence. My dad's name was William John Sunter and he was born in Carnarvon Western Australia in 1919. His Father (another William) also died six months after dad's birth of the "Spanish Flu" that swept the world after WWI. Dad's family had pearlilng leases in Shark Bay, Western Australia anc continued in pearling until the demise of the industry at the beginning of WWII. Dad moved with his family (Mother, Step-father & step-siblings Harry, Majorie and Valerie) to Fremantle in 1939 and enlisted in the army. Dad (or Jack as he was known) married Chloris Ellen Rose Oakley in 1947 and they were married for 61 years before mum passed away followed 12 months later by dad. I thought the fact that both lost parents due to the same influenza and the names were similar was eerie. Dad was initally called Johnny as he was growing up to differentiate from his father as he was a mirror image, it was shortened to Jack as he became a teenager. My eldest son is Jonathan (called John) and youngest is Nathan John and I have a nephew Jack and Darcy William all after their grandad. Hope you find this useful. Regards Apryl
